Body measurements: templates, records and progress tracking
Prepare your measurement templates, record your clients' measurements, set goals and compare progress on a chart.

To use this module, the "Body Measurement Tracking" module must be enabled in the Pi Store.
Measurement templates
The module opens on the Measurement Templates page. A template determines which fields are filled in during a measurement session. You pick the fields from a ready-made catalogue, which is organised into three groups:
General: weight, height, body mass index, body fat percentage, muscle mass, water percentage, basal metabolism, visceral fat.
Circumference measurements: neck, chest, waist, hip, arm and leg measurements, with separate right and left values.
Nutrition: target weight and daily calorie goal.
For a measurement that is not in the catalogue, you can define a custom field by entering a label and a unit. Templates you no longer use can be archived.
Entering a measurement record
New Measurement lets you choose the customer and the template; the fields on screen follow the template you chose. You set the date, enter the values and add a note if you want.
A measurement cannot be saved with a future date; the measurement date can be today at the latest.
The record list shows the customer, template, date, weight, body fat percentage and body mass index. The index value comes with a coloured badge stating the status (underweight, normal, overweight, obese).
Goals and progress
Goals and progress charts sit in the matching tabs on the customer card:
Goals: defined by entering the measurement field, the direction (decrease or increase), the starting value, the target value and a date; a goal is marked once it is reached.
Progress: once there are at least two measurement records, the change in values over time is shown on a chart.
Compare: put two measurements side by side and see the difference and the percentage change for every field — the most effective way to show a client their progress.
Always use the same template when taking measurements; if the fields change, comparisons and charts end up incomplete.
On mobile you view measurements from the Measurements tab on the customer card; measurement records and goals are listed there.
Defining measurement templates and entering a new measurement are not available on mobile; those are done in the web panel.
