Roles and permissions: who can see what?
Create roles and pick their permissions, assign roles to staff, and learn the business owner's special status and the role assignment rules.

In Piyzi permissions are granted to roles rather than directly to a person; you authorise a staff member by assigning them a role. A staff member can have more than one role.
Creating a role
Roles are managed on the Role and Permission Management page inside Business Settings. There you can create a new role, edit an existing one, copy it for a similar role, or delete it.
In the role form the permissions are grouped by module (appointments, customers, packages, finance...). You can select a whole category with a single click or tick the permissions one by one.
Assigning a role to a staff member
When you choose Permissions from the action menu in the staff list, the roles are listed under two headings: system roles and the company roles you created yourself. As you select roles, the permissions they cover appear below, category by category.
Rules
At least one role: every staff member must have at least one role.
You cannot change your own role: you cannot add or remove permissions for yourself.
The owner role cannot be assigned: the business owner role cannot be given to another staff member.
The business owner: the owner's roles cannot be changed; all permissions are assigned automatically and the owner cannot be removed from the list.
When you open a new position, copying a similar role and making small changes to it is faster than building a role from scratch.
Remember that restricting permissions makes buttons and pages disappear: a staff member without the finance permission, for example, cannot add a payment and cannot see amounts.
