Banning and deleting a customer: what happens, what gets blocked?
A banned customer cannot book online and cannot sign in to the customer portal; deleting archives the record and is blocked in three cases. The details are in this article.

Both actions are performed from the three-dot menu at the top right of the customer detail page, and each one depends on a separate permission.
What does banning do?
When you choose "Ban", a window opens where you write an optional ban reason and confirm. A banned customer:
Cannot book online — they are added to the online booking blacklist automatically.
Cannot sign in to your business's customer portal (appointment tracking, check-in, event pages); they see the message "This account has been restricted, please contact the business."
Is left out of the audience of SMS campaigns.
Cannot act through a linked (guardian) account either.
The ban does not block anything inside the business panel: staff can still create appointments, sales and packages for a banned customer. The customer stays in the list with a "Banned" badge and can be found with the Status → Banned filter. "Lift Ban" puts everything back the way it was.
What does deleting do?
When you choose "Delete", a confirmation window appears and the action is marked as irreversible. The deleted customer disappears from the lists, but the accounting history (sales cards and payments) is preserved in the reports.
The three conditions that block deletion
The customer has linked customers: move the linked customers to another guardian or remove them first.
The customer has an open receivable: collect it first or close the receivable record.
The customer has an upcoming appointment: cancel the appointments first.
When you try to delete a customer with an outstanding debt or a scheduled appointment, the system tells you exactly which blocker is in the way — clear it and repeat the delete.
